Perkasie Borough is gearing up for the highly anticipated return of their annual Under the Stars Car Show, set to take place on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Perkasie Town Center at N. 7th and West Market streets. This year, the event will pay tribute to our local heroes by honoring first responders with a powerful engine revving ceremony at 7 p.m.
Celebrating its 25th year, „Under the Stars“ has become one of the region’s premier car shows. Presented by Perkasie Borough in collaboration with Perkasie’s garages and local businesses, the historic downtown streets will be transformed into a showcase for nearly 500 classic, vintage, and custom vehicles. The event typically draws in over 4,000 visitors from across the region. The show’s full-color art poster, T-shirts, and commemorative dash plaque will feature the 2024 Mayor’s Choice winner, a stunning 1932 Chevrolet Cabriolet.
In addition to the main show, Perkasie’s Ragtops & Roadsters and the Perkasie Historical Society will present „Cars from Afar,“ a special exhibit featuring unique automobiles from around the world on W. Walnut St. Attendees can also enjoy live music, food trucks, exhibitors, and kids‘ crafts. The Cars from Afar show will award winner and runner-up trophies in categories such as Best British Car, Best Italian Car, Best German Car, Best Japanese Car, and Best of Show.
Exhibitor registration for both the Main Show and Cars from Afar is currently open on www.perkasierec.com. Advance registration is priced at $15 and closes at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, with day-of-show registration available for $25. Participants at the main show will compete for seven main show trophies, five sponsor trophies, and 50 vehicles will receive Top 50 plaques. The first 400 vehicles at the show will receive commemorative dash plaques in their event goody bags.
Spectators can attend the show free of charge and can look forward to vendors, food trucks, period music, and special offers from Perkasie’s small businesses. The Borough of Perkasie extends its gratitude to businesses such as the Covered Bridge Car Wash, the RAMs Pint House, A&T Chevrolet-Subaru, American Heritage Federal Credit Union, Grandview Service Centre, QNB Bank, Grim, Biehn & Thatcher, Joe Davis Autosport, and Penn Community Bank for their support in making the Under the Stars Car Show possible. Special thanks are also given to the Perkasie Rotary Club for managing show car parking this year.
Visitors are encouraged to bring service animals only to the event, as the crowded environment may be overwhelming for pets.
