TikTok Shop, a leading e-commerce platform, continues to collaborate with Tekun Nasional to boost the local economy, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), through direct selling activities, creating a new wave of shopping for consumers.
In this context, TikTok Shop will partner with Tekun Nasional as a strategic ally through the organization of the Tekun Madani Carnival to empower local SMEs with essential knowledge and skills in direct trade. This collaboration highlights the crucial role that TikTok Shop, as an e-commerce platform for SMEs, content creators, and TikTok entrepreneurs, will play in driving digital transformation and sustainability at the carnival held at SP Arena, Seberang Perai, Pulau Pinang from June 28 to 30.
The carnival will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and witnessed by Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Ewon Benedict, emphasizing the importance of this partnership in advancing the business ecosystem in Malaysia.
Through the involvement of TikTok Shop, the program will assist offline traders in embracing digital transformation and building brand sustainability through sales activities and trade simulations. This initiative aligns with TikTok Shop’s #JOMLokal initiative to promote and support local Malaysian brands in the e-commerce landscape, with a specific focus on enhancing direct trade capabilities.
Nur Azre Abdul Aziz, Chief Partnership Officer of TikTok Shop Malaysia, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with Tekun Nasional to strengthen local businesses through live selling initiatives. He stated, „This partnership demonstrates our commitment to supporting economic inclusivity and fostering digital innovation in Malaysia’s e-commerce landscape. When TikTok Shop and Tekun Nasional join forces, they aim to create growth opportunities for local businesses, foster entrepreneurial spirit, and open up a bright digital trading space in Malaysia.“
To provide opportunities for participating entrepreneurs to enhance their skills, especially in digital capabilities and sales expertise, TikTok Shop will conduct various activities at the carnival. A comprehensive training session was held on May 18-19 at PICC@Butterworth, where TikTok Shop provided training to 150 local sellers to equip them with essential sales skills for optimizing their sales and engagement.
Furthermore, on June 28, TikTok Shop content creator Vicky will share her success story through the platform. Don’t miss the chance to participate in the exciting program organized at the Tekun Madani Carnival.
Through direct selling activities, four top sellers from Tekun Nasional, including Sumber Hab Cendawan, Serbuk Kari Shiffa, CikScha Gold, and Lipstickscarf, will engage in live sessions on the field. Visitors can also witness other hosting sellers such as Saukass, Masdora Jewellery, Ladybossrafa, and many more.
Additionally, the top 20 participants from the recent direct selling competition will showcase their products at the carnival, with 10 selected sellers participating in a search for new creators to enhance their digital presence. TikTok Shop will also organize interactive activities, offering attractive prizes, consultations for local SMEs, and workshops to enhance sellers‘ and creators‘ skills.
Moreover, the 10 finalists will compete in a pitching competition to present their strategies. The campaign will conclude with an awards ceremony at the Tekun Madani Carnival scheduled for June 30 to celebrate the achievements and success of the participating entrepreneurs. – KOSMO! ONLINE
