El Primavera Shopping, el Sopar de Faves i la cultura popular destaquen a la Festa Major Petita de Masquefa

Masquefa, a small town in Catalonia, is gearing up to celebrate its Festa Major Petita de Sant Isidre from May 12th to May 15th. This annual festival promises a variety of fun and cultural activities for people of all ages, thanks to the collaboration of local entities, the Seguici Festiu, and the town council.

One of the highlights of the festival is the Sopar de Faves, a traditional dinner featuring a local delicacy – fava beans. Taking place on May 12th at 10 pm in Plaça Josep M. Vila, attendees can purchase tickets for 7 euros until May 11th at the local tobacco shop and Alzinar offices. The evening will also include the presentation of the Faves d’Argent 2023 award and musical performances by Cafè Trio and the cover band Her Majesty.

In addition to the Sopar de Faves, the festival will also feature the Primavera Shopping event, organized by Masquefa Comerç and the town council. On May 14th from 11 am to 9 pm, the streets will be adorned with floral motifs, creating a visually and olfactory stimulating experience with 19 decorated corners. Local businesses will offer special promotions and discounts, making it a great opportunity to support and explore the town’s commerce scene.

The festival program is packed with a diverse range of activities, including film forums, dance performances, children’s entertainment, concerts, correfocs (fire runs), traditional Catalan dances, exhibitions, and religious ceremonies honoring Sant Isidre. The festivities will also feature the iconic Ball de la Garlanda and a solemn mass followed by a floral offering.

The Festa Major Petita de Sant Isidre is a celebration of Masquefa’s rich cultural heritage and community spirit. It brings together residents and visitors alike to enjoy a vibrant mix of traditions, music, food, and entertainment. Whether you’re a local looking to connect with your roots or a visitor eager to experience Catalan culture, this festival offers something for everyone.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Masquefa’s Festa Major Petita de Sant Isidre. Join in the festivities, savor the local cuisine, and discover the charm of this picturesque town during this special celebration.
