BMW Motorrad introduces the BMW CE 02 in collaboration with VAGABUND.

The customizing scene around BMW Motorrad has always been a vibrant and creative community, with enthusiasts constantly pushing the boundaries of design and innovation. While the focus has traditionally been on models like the BMW R 18 and BMW R nineT, a new project has emerged from Austria that is turning heads and capturing attention. The collaboration between BMW Motorrad Austria and Design & Makers Studio VAGABUND in Graz has resulted in the creation of the BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND – a stylish eParkourer designed for urban areas.

The inspiration behind this project came from the BMW CE 02, a model that caught the eye of the team at VAGABUND Moto GmbH during the BMW Motorrad Days in Berlin. Paul Brauchart, the founder and managing director of VAGABUND, describes the design approach as a „retro-future“ concept. By combining futuristic elements with retro vibes, the team aimed to create a unique and visually striking custom bike that would appeal to a younger audience.

One of the standout features of the BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND is its futuristic design, which is complemented by functional „retro“ elements. The integration of the „OB-4 Magic Radio“ from Teenage Engineering adds a youthful and creative touch to the bike, while the electric exhaust serves as both a practical and visual highlight. The inclusion of a skateboard grip tape on the running board reflects the sporty and urban style of the eParkourer.

In addition to its design elements, the BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND also features a 3.6 meter high packaging that adds to the overall concept of the custom bike. This attention to detail and commitment to creating a truly unique and eye-catching vehicle sets this project apart from others in the customizing scene.

It’s important to note that the vehicles shown in this project may be modified and equipped with accessories from third-party suppliers or own components that are not manufactured, sold, or tested by BMW. As such, BMW does not guarantee the modifications and advises that modifying series vehicles may impair driving characteristics and is done at the owner’s risk.

Overall, the collaboration between BMW Motorrad and VAGABUND has resulted in a truly exceptional custom bike that showcases the creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation of the customizing scene. With its blend of futuristic design and retro elements, the BMW CE 02 x VAGABUND is a testament to the passion and dedication of those who strive to push the boundaries of motorcycle customization.
