The Associated Company Partners with Universal Technical Institute-Lisle for Early Employment Program

Universal Technical Institute-Lisle, located outside of Chicago, has recently announced that Associated has joined their early employment program. This partnership opens up exciting opportunities for students enrolled in the campus‘ automotive, diesel, robotics, industrial maintenance, and welding technician programs.

The early employment program allows participating employers to offer 20 to 30 hours of paid work experience to students, along with consideration for full-time employment and reimbursement for education-related expenses after graduation. Currently, more than 125 employers participate in this program, providing a wide range of opportunities for students.

Selected students at UTI-Lisle who are chosen by Associated can work 20-30 paid hours weekly while completing their education. Upon graduation, students who join Associated full-time can benefit from their tuition reimbursement program, which assists with educational loans up to $20,000, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package, training, and career advancement opportunities.

Tracy Lorenz, the Division President of Universal Technical Institute, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion of the program, stating that employers like Associated are now able to find a pipeline of talent for various skilled jobs at their campuses. This broader approach to the program allows for a more diverse range of opportunities for students.

Roger Gomez, the UTI-Lisle campus president, highlighted the historical focus of the early employment program on automotive and diesel employers in the area. With the recent expansion of program offerings, students now have the chance to gain valuable experience in a variety of fields while completing their education.

Tim Combs, the President and CEO of Associated, emphasized the benefits of partnering with Universal Technical Institute for their early employment program. This collaboration provides Associated with access to a pool of talented and motivated students, offering them real-world experience and promising career opportunities.

Universal Technical Institute, Inc., founded in 1965, is a leading workforce solutions provider offering education programs in transportation, skilled trades, energy, and healthcare. With a mission to serve students, partners, and communities by providing quality education and support services for in-demand careers, UTI operates 16 campuses across 9 states.
