Inquiry-based Learning and Teaching in Europe: The Vysočina Region

The project supported within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, specifically under Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships for exchanging experiences and best practices, was coordinated by the Vysočina Region. The partners involved in this project were Vysočina Education, a school facility for educating pedagogical workers and providing services to schools, from Dolní Rakousko Amt der NÖ Landesregierung, Abt. Wissenschaft und Forschung, from Finland City of Tampere, and from the partner region in France Rectorat of Reims, Lycée Hugues Libergier, Lycée Polyvalent Stéphane Hessel, and the Grand Est region as an associated partner.

The primary goal of this two-year project was to share examples of best practices and exchange experiences among various entities in the field of research-oriented teaching. Each partner brought their own experiences on how they address the issue and offered inspiration to others, exploring new methods and ideas, gaining know-how to improve the level of key competencies and skills, with a special focus on their relevance to the labor market through strategic partnerships. The project mainly consisted of educational activities for pedagogical workers, school management staff, and education professionals, culminating in an e-book that summarized the project’s outputs with a description of each partner’s approach.

This project is funded by the Erasmus+ program, specifically Key Action 2 – Strategic Partnerships in the field of education (project number: 2018-1-CZ01-K201-048113).

The e-book serves as a valuable resource for educators looking to incorporate inquiry-based learning and teaching practices into their classrooms. This project exemplifies the importance of international cooperation in advancing education and fostering innovation in teaching methodologies.
