Volunteer Community has launched a nationwide charitable campaign called „Collect a School Bag for a Child,“ with the aim of helping children from large or low-income families, orphans, children with disabilities, and internally displaced children. The initiative, as reported by Rubrika, seeks to address the challenges faced by families in preparing their children for the upcoming school year.
Many Ukrainian families spend a significant amount of money on school supplies such as pens, notebooks, backpacks, and other necessary items for their children’s education. However, there are families facing difficult circumstances who struggle to provide their children with the essentials for learning.
The current campaign „Collect a School Bag for a Child“ is an important initiative that aims to ensure equal opportunities for all children in Ukraine and help them start the school year with all the necessary materials. The goal of the campaign is to assist children from large or low-income families, orphans, children with disabilities, and internally displaced children.
Throughout the month, Ukrainians will be collecting school supplies that will be distributed to children in need before the start of the school year. The campaign will run until August 25, and anyone interested can participate by donating school supplies to volunteer centers, the addresses of which are listed on the official Volunteer Community website.
Additionally, volunteers are calling on compassionate citizens to become volunteers in their own cities and help organize the collection of school supplies. Volunteer Community is actively involved in social projects and initiatives aimed at helping the elderly, people with special needs, children, and animals. They also implement environmental projects and educate new volunteers.
The „Collect a School Bag for a Child“ campaign is held annually on the eve of the new school year to provide children with the necessary materials for education and support their families. It is worth noting that Ukraine has also launched the annual charitable campaign „School Backpack,“ which will assist Ukrainian families facing difficult circumstances in preparing their younger children for school.
Furthermore, students attending in-person classes are required to carry two backpacks – one regular and one for emergency situations. What should be in the emergency backpack? The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, has launched a comprehensive policy called „Offline School,“ with the goal of returning 300,000 Ukrainian students to in-person learning.
In conclusion, the „Collect a School Bag for a Child“ campaign is a noble initiative that aims to support children in need and ensure they have the necessary tools for a successful education. By coming together as a community, we can make a positive impact on the lives of these children and help them thrive in their academic pursuits.
