Vadodara businessman cheated of Rs 5.87 lakh by Margabaj promising high returns through online education app investment.

Online education has become increasingly popular in recent years, with many individuals opting for the convenience and flexibility it offers. However, with the rise of online learning platforms, there has also been an increase in fraudulent activities targeting unsuspecting individuals. One such case has recently come to light in Vadodara, where a businessman has been accused of defrauding a staggering amount of 5.87 lakh rupees by luring individuals with promises of providing online education through an application.

The accused, identified as Ranadhir Kumar Priyadarshi, was running a franchise of a reputed online education institute called Basic First Learning OPC Pvt. Ltd. in Akota, Vadodara. He allegedly used his position to advertise the institute’s online education application, claiming that it offered a new technology that could provide significant benefits to students. Priyadarshi enticed individuals by offering them the opportunity to invest in the application, promising high returns on their investment.

In order to participate in the online education program, individuals were required to make a security deposit of 5.62 lakh rupees. Additionally, they were asked to pay an extra 25,000 rupees for a presentation on the application. Despite the hefty initial investment, many individuals were convinced by Priyadarshi’s promises of lucrative returns and decided to invest in the program.

However, as time passed, it became apparent that the promises made by Priyadarshi were nothing but a scam. The individuals who had invested in the program soon realized that they had been duped and that their money was nowhere to be found. When they tried to contact Priyadarshi for a refund, they were met with evasive responses and empty promises.

Frustrated and feeling cheated, the victims of this scam have now lodged a complaint at the JP Road Police Station in Vadodara. They are seeking justice and hoping that the authorities will take swift action against the accused to ensure that others do not fall victim to similar fraudulent schemes.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of exercising caution and due diligence when investing in online education programs or any other financial opportunity. It is essential to thoroughly research and verify the credentials of the individuals and institutions offering such programs to avoid falling prey to scams. As the investigation into this case unfolds, it is hoped that the perpetrators will be brought to justice and that measures will be put in place to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
