Volvo Electric Vehicle Driving Academy ครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย วอลโว่ คาร์ ประเทศไทย จัดงานอบรมหลักสูตรการเรียนขับรถไฟฟ้าเต็มรูปแบบฝึกสอนโดยผู้ชำนาญการ เมื่อวันที่ 14 – 18 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2567 ณ สนามปทุมธานี สปีดเวย์ จังหวัดปทุมธานี ที่ผ่านมา
More than 500 participants attended the Volvo Electric Vehicle Driving Academy, which aimed to enhance driving skills for electric vehicles in a safe and correct manner. The event focused on educating participants about the differences between conventional cars and electric vehicles in terms of usage, maintenance, and performance to boost driver confidence.
Mr. Chris Wells, Managing Director of Volvo Cars Thailand, emphasized the growing interest in electric vehicles among consumers due to their sustainable driving properties. He highlighted the importance of proper usage and maintenance of electric vehicles, stating that it differs from conventional cars.
As a leading company in premium electric vehicles and safety, Volvo Cars Thailand recognized the need to educate users about electric vehicle usage and enhance driving skills to meet Volvo’s international safety standards. The Volvo Electric Vehicle Driving Academy aimed to provide knowledge about electric vehicle usage and improve safe driving skills for interested users nationwide.
The academy offered a comprehensive training course on driving electric vehicles correctly and safely. With a focus on enhancing driver awareness and safety on the road, participants were trained to handle emergency situations that may arise while driving. The expert team guided participants through theoretical and practical sessions to ensure they could apply their skills in real-life driving scenarios.
The course covered various skills, including adjusting seating posture, hand placement on the steering wheel, vehicle control during steering, and understanding different distance measurement standards. Practical exercises simulated emergency situations like braking and avoiding obstacles, moose tests, understeer scenarios, and avoiding obstacles to equip participants with the necessary skills for safe electric vehicle driving.
Randip Singh Kanwar, Managing Director of Goodyear Thailand, expressed their delight in collaborating with Volvo Cars Thailand for the event. Goodyear provided their Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance SUV tires, designed to support electric vehicles with excellent grip, torsional resistance, and shock absorption properties to enhance driving confidence and safety.
In addition to Goodyear, the Volvo Electric Vehicle Driving Academy received support from Thaichart Insurance, AIG Insurance Thailand, and ESWE Thailand to provide knowledge and develop correct driving skills for electric vehicles to promote road safety for users nationwide.
