The EGAT Green Learning Society recently awarded young influencers and schools for their outstanding efforts in energy conservation and environmental preservation. The event, held on August 23, 2567, was attended by key representatives from various organizations, including the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), the National Science Museum (NSM), and TellScor Co., Ltd.
During the event, awards were presented to schools and students who have excelled in promoting energy conservation and environmental awareness through the Green Learning Society program. The program aims to instill knowledge and practices related to energy efficiency among students, teachers, and school staff. This year, the EGAT Green Learning Society recognized schools that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
One of the highlights of the event was the EGAT Young Influencer competition, which aimed to enhance students‘ communication skills in promoting energy conservation and environmental protection. The competition was divided into two categories: the EGAT Green Seed Influencer, which focused on creating innovative video presentations on energy conservation, and the EGAT Green Talk, which emphasized public speaking on environmental issues. Schools such as Darawittaya School in Chiang Mai and Saitratham School in Ratchaburi were among the winners in these categories.
Additionally, Ber 5 School was acknowledged for its comprehensive approach to integrating energy conservation and environmental education into all school activities. A total of 133 schools from across the country were recognized for their efforts in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness among students.
The EGAT Green Learning Society has been running the Green Classroom program since 2541 to support knowledge and practices related to energy conservation and environmental protection. The program has expanded to include over 1,300 schools nationwide, with more than 4 million students participating in energy-saving initiatives. Through these efforts, the EGAT Green Learning Society continues to inspire the next generation to become responsible stewards of the environment.
In conclusion, the EGAT Green Learning Society’s recognition of young influencers and schools for their dedication to energy conservation and environmental preservation serves as a testament to the importance of sustainability education in shaping a greener future. By empowering students and schools to take action towards a more sustainable world, we can create a positive impact on our environment and society as a whole.
