Swimmers will leave Saimaa in the morning and those swimming longer distances will reach the Vuoksi landing section by noon. The finish line at the restaurant Sula area should be reached no later than 2 p.m. Boaters are encouraged to avoid the swimmers‘ route during the event to ensure their safety and the smooth progression of the swimming adventure.
A total of 230 swimmers have registered for the event, with each swimmer carrying an attention buoy for added safety. Safety boats, canoes, and SUP boards will be present to protect swimmers along the routes. The Vuoksi Swim offers three different routes of varying lengths, ranging from four to ten kilometers.
