Biltema Real Estate Finland has recently signed turnkey contract agreements with Astora-Rakennus Oy and Steelmont Tech Oy for the construction of new Biltema stores in Kouvola and Porvoo, set to open in the spring of 2025. The focus of these projects is to achieve an optimal price-quality ratio, according to Ronny Haglund, the property manager of Biltema Real Estate Finland. He emphasizes the importance of finding cost-effective ways to carry out projects without compromising on quality or Biltema’s strong principles.
Haglund stresses the need for flexibility and transparent communication from contractors throughout the project. Effective interaction between all parties involved is crucial to finding the most efficient way to complete the project and achieve the desired outcome with minimal effort. The collaboration with Astora-Rakennus and Steelmont has proven successful in previous projects, making them the ideal partners for the upcoming ventures in Kouvola and Porvoo.
The new Biltema stores, spanning over 7,500 square meters each, will be located adjacent to Kouvola’s Veturin shopping center and in Porvoo’s Kuninkaanportti area. The grand openings are scheduled for the spring of 2025. Both Astora-Rakennus and Steelmont have experience working on Biltema projects, making them well-equipped to handle the construction of these new stores.
In addition to the retail space, the Biltema stores will feature a Biltema Café where customers can enjoy affordable treats. Mikael Sellén, the country manager of Biltema Suomi Oy, highlights the café’s offerings, such as one-euro pastries and hot dogs. The café menu is continuously expanding, with the latest addition being a hearty meal of seven meatballs, mashed potatoes, and accompaniments.
The Biltema Café aims to provide customers with a budget-friendly dining option, with the popular meatball meal available for 4.50 euros every day of the week. This initiative adds to the overall customer experience at Biltema stores, creating a welcoming environment for shoppers to relax and refuel during their visit.
