Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration – as the National Authority of the Danube Region Program, represented by Minister Adrian-Ioan Veştea, and Brasov County Council – as a Partner in the project „Caring Communities: transnational multi-level approaches for transformative changes in the home care and community development sector in the Danube Region,“ have signed the contract for the allocation of national co-financing funds for the implementation of this project.
The value of the contract is 6,752.70 euros, representing 18% of the total budget value of Partner 11, Brasov County Council.
The total eligible value of the Brasov County Council budget is 37,515 euros, of which:
– 30,012 euros – INTERREG funds 80%;
– 6,752.70 euros – state budget co-financing 18%;
– 750.30 euros – partner’s own contribution 2%.
The project „Caring Communities: transnational multi-level approaches for transformative changes in the home care and community development sector in the Danube Region“ (DRP0200240 project code) has three specific objectives:
– Developing capacity-building programs for key actors in the social services sector;
– Strengthening transnational collaboration structures in home care and community services;
– Building an empirically proven framework for transformative innovation in the home care sector.
The project is carried out in partnership with public institutions, foundations, associations, universities from nine countries in the Danube Region, namely Germany, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Republic of Moldova, and Romania. It was initiated by the Diakonie Baden organization in Germany, with the general objective of developing transnational innovation structures for home care and community services.
The implementation period of the project is from January 1, 2024, to June 30, 2026.
This project aims to address the growing need for innovative approaches in the home care and community development sector, especially in the Danube Region. By fostering collaboration between various stakeholders and countries, the project seeks to enhance the quality of care provided to individuals in need of assistance while promoting sustainable community development.
Through capacity-building programs, the project will empower key actors in the social services sector to deliver more effective and efficient care services. By strengthening transnational collaboration structures, the project will facilitate the exchange of best practices and the implementation of innovative solutions in home care and community services.
