Rescued Kitten Named ‚Turbo Rinse‘ from Car Wash Seeks Forever Home

A heartwarming story emerged from Washington Court House, Ohio, when a cat was rescued from an active car wash after an employee heard faint meowing. The orange and white tabby kitten, believed to be less than six weeks old, was found stuck near the turbo blaster section of the Ultimate Shine Car Wash.

According to the Fayette Regional Humane Society, the kitten may have been hiding underneath a vehicle when it entered the car wash. As the vehicle went through the wash, the powerful turbo blasters likely flushed the kitten out from its hiding spot and into the path of the high-pressure water jets.

The hero of this story is car wash team lead Kierra Mills, who heard the kitten’s cries during a routine inspection of the wash tunnel. She immediately sprang into action and found the kitten soaking wet and shaking. Mills quickly brought the kitten inside the main office and began drying him off.

The kitten, now named Turbo Rinse, was then taken to the Fayette Regional Humane Society for a check-up. Thankfully, after a thorough examination, Turbo was found to have no injuries and will soon be available for adoption after receiving all necessary vaccinations, a microchip, and neutering.

FRHS chief humane agent Brad Adams expressed gratitude for the attentiveness of the car wash staff, stating that the situation could have ended very differently if not for their quick actions. Adams also emphasized the importance of checking under vehicles for animals, especially if there are cats or kittens on the property.

This heartwarming rescue serves as a reminder to always be vigilant and aware of our surroundings, as animals can often find themselves in dangerous situations without our knowledge. The Fayette Regional Humane Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to animal welfare, is committed to ensuring the well-being of animals like Turbo Rinse.

Washington Court House, Ohio, located about 40 miles southwest of Columbus, is now home to a stray kitten with a new lease on life. Turbo Rinse’s story is a testament to the power of compassion and quick thinking in saving the lives of our furry friends.

As we celebrate this happy ending, let us also remember to be mindful of our furry companions and always check under our vehicles before driving off. The Ultimate Shine Car Wash and the Fayette Regional Humane Society have shown that a little care and attention can make a world of difference for our beloved pets.
