This weekend, book lovers of all ages will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of literature at the annual West Virginia Book Festival in Charleston. Taking place on Saturday, October 19 at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, this event promises a diverse collection of books, programs, workshops, and more for attendees to enjoy.
One of the highlights of the festival is the lineup of best-selling authors who will be speaking at the event. From Greg Hurwitz to Sadeqa Johnson, Gene Luen Yang, Joy Callaway, and Mia Manansala, there is something for every kind of reader to enjoy. The authors will be discussing their latest works, sharing insights into their writing process, and engaging with the audience in a series of presentations throughout the day.
In addition to the author presentations, there will be two writing workshops, three other author programs, and two children’s programs in the ‚Word Play‘ area. This ensures that there is a wide variety of literary activities for attendees to participate in and enjoy.

Children’s book author Victoria Crall will also be presenting a story time of her book, „Jumpy Chunky Monkey and Your Very Best Day,“ for young readers to enjoy.
