Titans Welcome NFC Champion 49ers for Preseason Opener

The Tennessee Titans are gearing up to face the San Francisco 49ers in their preseason opener at Nissan Stadium this week. This game marks the debut of new Titans head coach Brian Callahan, who brings a wealth of experience from his time as the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals. Callahan is joined by a new coaching staff, including offensive coordinator Nick Holz, defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, and special teams coordinator Colt Anderson.

The Titans last faced the 49ers in December 2021, securing a 20-17 victory at Nissan Stadium. This preseason matchup will be a chance for both teams to showcase their talent and prepare for the upcoming regular season. The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, with play-by-play announcer Paul Burmeister and analyst Charles Davis calling the action.

Fans in the Nashville market can livestream the broadcast on the Titans Mobile App or TennesseeTitans.com, while those outside of Nashville can access live games with NFL+. The Titans Radio Network, led by „Voice of the Titans“ Mike Keith, will also broadcast the game on flagship station 104.5 The Zone.

The Titans‘ roster features 35 new players, including acquisitions like cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr., and safety Jamal Adams. Quarterback Will Levis, the team’s starting signal caller, is entering his second preseason after a solid rookie season. The Titans will also face the Seattle Seahawks in their second home preseason game before closing out the preseason against the New Orleans Saints.

On the other side, the San Francisco 49ers are coming off a successful 2023 season, finishing with a 12-5 record and making it to the Super Bowl. Quarterback Brock Purdy, entering his third NFL season, has been a standout player for the 49ers, passing for over 5,600 yards and 44 touchdowns in the past two seasons. Purdy is supported by a talented roster, including Pro Bowl selections like Nick Bosa, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey.

Overall, the Titans vs. 49ers preseason matchup promises to be an exciting game as both teams look to fine-tune their skills and prepare for the upcoming season. Fans can expect a competitive and action-packed game as these two teams face off at Nissan Stadium.
