Hendersonville, TN Police seek suspects who vandalized woman’s car

Hendersonville Police in Tennessee are currently on the lookout for two alleged auto thieves who have been identified based on fingerprints found inside a stolen car. The suspects have been identified as Terrain Johnson and Anthony Chambers, both 21 years old. Chambers, in particular, has a violent criminal history out of Nashville, adding to the urgency of their capture.

The thieves were seen driving multiple stolen vehicles, including two Infiniti Q50’s – one white and one black. Police stated that the thieves broke into the cars by accessing computer ports to start the vehicles. They were then captured on video driving to an Antioch McDonald’s and a Thortons on Bell Road to fuel up. The white vehicle was eventually abandoned by the thieves after they were unable to start it again.

In a press release, Hendersonville Police revealed that Chambers and Johnson have been charged with two counts of theft of a motor vehicle over $10,000, as well as one count of attempted theft of a motor vehicle over $10,000. Chambers, in particular, has a history of criminal activity, including a previous arrest in Metro connected to a robbery and shooting incident.

In the previous incident, Chambers entered a store, grabbed items from a worker, and fled in a vehicle driven by another individual. A confrontation ensued, leading to Chambers shooting into the business and injuring a worker. Both Chambers and the driver were apprehended after a brief foot chase, with weapons recovered from the scene.

The victim of the recent auto theft spoke to News 2 about the impact of the incident, expressing feelings of vulnerability and fear. The theft resulted in significant damage to her vehicle, totaling over $10,000 in repairs. She emphasized the emotional toll of the theft, affecting her sleep and daily routine.

Despite the challenges faced by the victim, she remains hopeful for justice and closure in the case. Hendersonville Police have urged anyone with information on the suspects to come forward and report it to the authorities. Tips can be submitted anonymously through the Hendersonville Crime Stoppers hotline or the P3 Tips app.

The ongoing search for Terrain Johnson and Anthony Chambers highlights the importance of community cooperation in combating auto theft and ensuring the safety of residents. Hendersonville Police are committed to apprehending the suspects and bringing them to justice for their crimes.
