State foresters organize Forest Day: Exploring animal tracks and tree seedlings – LesMedium.sk

Štátni lesníci organizujú Deň s lesmi: Spoznávanie stôp zvierat a semien lesných drevín is an event that celebrates the beauty and importance of forests in Slovakia. Hosted by LesMedium.sk, this event aims to educate the public about the various aspects of forests, including animal tracks and tree seeds.

The event is organized by state foresters who are passionate about preserving and protecting Slovakia’s forests. They believe that by increasing awareness and understanding of forests, people will be more inclined to take care of these precious natural resources.

One of the main activities during the event is the identification of animal tracks. Participants are guided through the forest by experienced foresters who teach them how to recognize different types of tracks left behind by animals such as deer, foxes, and wild boars. This hands-on experience allows participants to connect with nature and gain a deeper appreciation for the wildlife that inhabits the forests.

Another highlight of the event is the exploration of tree seeds. Participants are shown various types of seeds from different tree species and learn about the importance of seeds in the regeneration of forests. They are taught how to identify seeds based on their size, shape, and color, and are encouraged to collect seeds to plant in their own gardens or local green spaces.

In addition to these activities, the event also includes guided nature walks, where participants can learn about the different types of trees, plants, and fungi that make up the forest ecosystem. They are taught about the role of forests in carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, and water regulation, highlighting the vital importance of forests in maintaining a healthy environment.

Overall, Deň s lesmi: Spoznávanie stôp zvierat a semien lesných drevín is a fun and educational event that brings people closer to nature and fosters a sense of stewardship for the environment. By learning about animal tracks, tree seeds, and the various benefits of forests, participants are inspired to take action to protect and preserve these valuable natural resources for future generations.
