The Department of General Services’ Bureau of Vehicle Management (BVM) has announced an exciting opportunity for car enthusiasts and bargain hunters alike. More than 300 used vehicles, including 30 motorcycles, will be up for public purchase at the upcoming August Commonwealth Vehicle Auction. This event is open to the public and will take place on August 13th at 10 a.m. at Manheim Keystone Pennsylvania, located at 488 Firehouse Road in Grantville, PA.
The vehicles up for auction will include a diverse selection of 4-wheel drive SUVs, utility vehicles, and pickup trucks from popular manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, GMC, and Jeep. In addition to these vehicles, there will also be front and all-wheel drive sedans, minivans, and motorcycles available for purchase. Some of the vehicles up for auction have been seized by state law enforcement agencies, adding an element of intrigue to the event.
For those interested in attending the auction, pre-registration and in-person previewing of the vehicles will begin on Thursday, August 8th. The previews will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day through August 11th at the Grantville auction site. It is mandatory to pre-register for the auction, and registration must be completed on or before Monday, August 12th at 4 p.m. There will be no registration allowed on the day of the auction, so be sure to complete this step in advance.
The auction itself will kick off at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13th. Buyers must make purchases with certified funds in the form of a money order, cashier’s check, or certified check made payable to “Manheim Keystone PA.” Cash will not be accepted as a form of payment, so make sure to come prepared with the appropriate funds.
