Titan Company Ltd, a leading Indian consumer goods company, has recently made a significant expansion of its retail presence in Chennai, India. The company has opened new brand outlets across its diverse product portfolio, including the launch of its first-ever luxury Helios store in the country, the 59th Tanishq store, and the 7th Taneira store in Tamil Nadu. These grand openings were inaugurated by C K Venkataraman, the Managing Director of Titan Company Limited, along with other dignitaries from the company and distinguished guests at Pondy Bazaar, T. Nagar.
This expansion is part of Titan’s aggressive retail growth strategy for FY24-25, targeting Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III geographies. With the addition of these new stores, Titan now has 98 exclusive brand retail touchpoints in Tamil Nadu. The company aims to further strengthen its presence in the region by planning to launch over 100 stores across all divisions in the coming years.
C K Venkataraman expressed his excitement about the expansion in Chennai, highlighting the city’s cultural significance and its importance as a key growth market for Titan. He emphasized the strong affinity that the vibrant and fast-growing customer base in Chennai has shown for Titan’s brands, which has driven the company to deepen its presence in the region. Venkataraman also mentioned the company’s commitment to curating high-quality products and exceptional shopping experiences for customers in the region, with plans to continue expanding in the Southern region with additional store openings and innovative offerings.
The new Helios store, spanning 2,500 sq. ft., introduces seven new luxury brands to Chennai, including Milus, Earnest Borel, Charriol, U-Boat, Versace, Herbelin, and Seven Friday. This store marks Helios’s 32nd exclusive store in Tamil Nadu and is part of the company’s expansion plans to open three more Helios stores in Chennai. The city has emerged as a significant growth market for Helios in the Southern region.
In addition to the Helios store, Tanishq has launched its 59th store in the state, covering 8,000 sq. ft. The store features an extensive selection of Tanishq’s iconic designs, including plain gold, antique jewelry, stunning diamonds, kundan, polki, and chozha coins. Customers can explore Tanishq’s festive collections, such as ‘Dharohar’ and ‘Kakatiya’, along with contemporary and lightweight collections like ‘GlamDays’ and ‘String It’. The store also houses ‘Rivaah’, Tanishq’s dedicated wedding jewelry sub-brand.
Meanwhile, Taneira has opened its fourth store in Chennai and seventh in Tamil Nadu, spanning 5,000 sq. ft. This store offers a range of handcrafted sarees, ready-to-wear blouses, kurtas, short tops, and more. The store features a dedicated wedding zone with a variety of regional weaves, catering to the varied needs of its customers.
To celebrate the grand openings, Tanishq is offering a special promotion where customers can receive a free gold coin with every purchase from June 19th to 21st, 2024. Additionally, Taneira is offering a gold coin with purchases of Rs 20,000 or more, along with other promotions from June 19th to 24th, 2024.
