San Jose Jazz Summer Fest is back, and along with the incredible lineup of jazz, blues, and salsa music, attendees can also look forward to a wide array of delicious food and beverages. With nearly 30 food and beverage booths located at and near downtown’s Plaza de Cesar Chavez, festival-goers will have plenty of options to choose from while enjoying the music on the Main Stage, Blues/Big Easy Stage, and Latin/Tropical Stage.
For those planning to frequent the Swing Stage, San Pedro Square offers a variety of food and drink options that are sure to satisfy any craving. Whether you’re in the mood for jambalaya, barbecue, tacos, or sweet potato pie, there will be something for everyone at the festival.
One of the highlights of the festival is the introduction of several new vendors who will be making their debut this year. Lillie Mae’s, a longtime South Bay favorite, will be serving up fried chicken, fried catfish, barbecue brisket, and more. Saucey Oysters will be offering chargrilled oysters with seafood toppings, raw oyster shooters, and garlic noodles. Uncle Papa’s BBQ will have a selection of ribs, chicken, tri-tip sandwiches, and jalapeno poppers. California Cheesesteak will be serving up cheesesteaks, fries, and fried chicken, among other options.
Other new vendors to look out for include Hal’s NY Hot Dogs, Yummy Kitchen, La Fenice Pizza, Street Stix, Paleta Planeta, Louisiana Cajun Foods, Shrimp’n Ain’t Eazy, Grillzillas, Rosario’s Tacos, Jollof Kitchen, Checo’s Rescue Ranch, Ohana Whip Wagon, and Rainbow Italian Ice. With such a diverse range of cuisines to choose from, there’s something for every palate at the festival.
In addition to the new vendors, there will also be returning festival favorites such as Lord of the Ribs BBQ, Nita Bee’s Tastys, Poor House Bistro, Ribs N Things BBQ and Soul Food, Howard Gumbo, Old Tyme Kettle Korn, Seymart, Hot and Sizzling Grill, Chick N Bros, The Juicery, and Twisted K’s Soft Serve. From ribs and brisket to salmon burgers and funnel cakes, there will be no shortage of delicious options to enjoy throughout the weekend.
