Audi Q6 e-tron now available with smaller battery for 61,872 euros in Germany

Audi has recently introduced a new base version of the Q6 e-tron model with a reduced battery and rear-wheel drive. Priced at 63,500 euros in Germany, this new modification offers a more affordable option for those interested in electric vehicles.

The new Q6 e-tron comes equipped with a reduced battery pack consisting of 10 modules instead of the standard 12. The nominal capacity is 83 kWh, with a usable capacity of 75.8 kWh. While this is less than the standard battery’s 100 kWh and 94.9 kWh, respectively, Audi claims that even with the reduced battery, the vehicle can travel up to 533 kilometers on a single charge based on WLTP testing.

This new modification of the Q6 e-tron supports fast charging with a peak power of up to 225 kW, allowing you to charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. For home charging, the built-in 11 kW AC charger can fully charge the battery in approximately 8 hours.

Powering the rear axle of the crossover is a synchronous motor with permanent magnets. In normal mode, it delivers 185 kW of power but can increase to 201 kW with the launch control system. The motor also produces a torque of 450 Nm.

Audi has ensured that the Q6 e-tron is not only efficient but also practical. The main trunk has a capacity of 526 liters, with an additional 64-liter compartment in the front under the hood. If towing is needed, it can handle a trailer weighing up to 2000 kilograms. The vehicle itself weighs 2200 kilograms.

For those looking for something more unique, Audi offers two special editions. The Edition One Blue starts at 80,000 euros, while the Edition One Grey is slightly cheaper at 78,800 euros. These limited editions will only be available for a short period after the market launch. However, additional discounts are available in Germany for orders placed before September.

The Q6 e-tron family now includes the new base model with rear-wheel drive and a smaller battery, a Performance version with rear-wheel drive and standard battery, as well as the previously announced all-wheel-drive models, including the SQ6 e-tron quattro. All of these models are assembled in Ingolstadt.

In conclusion, Audi’s new base version of the Q6 e-tron offers a more affordable option for those interested in electric vehicles without compromising on performance and practicality. With its range, fast charging capabilities, and various configurations, the Q6 e-tron is a versatile and attractive choice in the electric vehicle market.
