Car Show Fundraiser for Kiwanis Club’s Cares

If you’re a fan of cars and looking for a fun and meaningful event to attend this weekend, look no further than the Cars for Cures event hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Moore at the Warren Theater. This annual car show has become a staple in the community, attracting car enthusiasts from all over the state.

The event, now in its fifth year, continues to grow in popularity and size. According to David Wall, president of the Moore Kiwanis Club, the show typically sees anywhere from one hundred and fifteen to one hundred and forty cars each year. From special interest vehicles to classic muscle cars, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this show.

Registration for the event starts bright and early at 7 a.m. in the Warren Theater parking lot. In addition to the impressive lineup of cars, attendees can also look forward to food trucks, vendors, and prizes for the winners. But what truly sets this event apart is its charitable cause.

Proceeds from the car show go towards supporting the Children’s Health Foundation, a cause that is near and dear to the hearts of the Kiwanis Club members. The foundation provides vital support for children’s healthcare, including medical research, equipment, and charitable care for families in need. Travis Mantooth, a representative from the foundation, emphasized the importance of events like the car show in helping them continue their mission of helping children in need.

The Children’s Health Foundation has been making a difference in the lives of children since the early eighties, and the support from events like the Cars for Cures show is crucial in ensuring they can continue their important work. The Kiwanis Club of Moore has a long-standing commitment to supporting children in the community, and events like this showcase their dedication to making a positive impact.

The family-friendly event is free to attend, making it accessible to all members of the community. Whether you’re a car enthusiast, a supporter of children’s health causes, or simply looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday, the Cars for Cures event at the Warren Theater is sure to be a memorable experience.

Mark your calendars for this Saturday, August 24th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and head over to the Warren Theater located at 1000 S. Telephone Road in Moore.
