Yolanda Lezcano and Fèlix Galimany: Strengthening Collaboration for Local Commerce
The association of merchants and professionals, Centre Vila, and the viticultural cooperative, Covides, have recently announced their collaboration for the promotion of commercial initiatives in the town of Vilafranca. This partnership was unveiled during a press conference where Yolanda Lezcano, the manager of Centre Vila, and Fèlix Galimany, the president of Covides, signed the renewal of their collaboration agreement.
Yolanda Lezcano expressed her appreciation for the support received from Covides in promoting Centre Vila’s initiatives. She emphasized the association’s desire to have such an agreement to reaffirm the local commerce’s commitment to the viticultural sector. This year, the theme chosen for the street decoration contest is „The vineyard and wine,“ reflecting the strong ties between the commerce and viticulture sectors.
Fèlix Galimany, on behalf of Covides, expressed satisfaction with the partnership and highlighted their willingness to collaborate with local commerce in promoting the region. The collaboration aims to strengthen the ties between commerce and viticulture, showcasing the unique offerings of the local businesses.
The ninth edition of the Shopping Night is scheduled for May 19th. From 8 pm to midnight, participating stores will offer special discounts and promotions to customers. The event will kick off earlier in the day with children’s activities, workshops, dance performances, and exclusive collection presentations. Live music, dance shows, and Covides product tastings will take place in the town center, creating a vibrant atmosphere for visitors.
In addition to the Shopping Night, the fifth edition of the street decoration contest will take place, focusing on the theme of „The vineyard and wine.“ Participating merchants, representing around 130 associated businesses, will showcase their creativity using recycled materials. A jury consisting of local officials and representatives will evaluate the decorations, with winners being announced during the Night of Commerce event on June 2nd.
The collaboration between Centre Vila and Covides not only promotes local commerce but also celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Vilafranca. By combining the efforts of merchants and viticulturalists, the town’s unique identity and offerings are showcased, attracting visitors and supporting the local economy. The continued partnership between these two entities ensures the sustainability and growth of Vilafranca’s commercial sector, fostering a sense of community and pride among its residents.
