The event, which included a 3 1/2-mile run followed by a half-mile swim at Marine Creek Lake, ended in tragedy as Đukić reportedly drowned during the swim portion. He was pronounced dead at 10:24 a.m. by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
