The hit Netflix series, Emily in Paris, has captivated audiences with its stunning backdrops and picturesque locations. From the Palace of Versailles to the top of the Eiffel Tower, the show has showcased some of the most iconic spots in France. However, in its latest season, Emily in Paris has expanded its horizons and ventured beyond the borders of France to film in Italy as well.
Creator Darren Star expressed his excitement about the new season’s locations, stating that they „go way above and beyond.“ The show takes viewers to Megève in the French Alps, where Camille’s family’s ski chalet is located. The snowy landscapes provide a beautiful backdrop for the characters‘ adventures. Additionally, the French Open and Chantilly Polo Club are featured, adding a touch of sports glamour to the series.
One of the standout locations in the new season is Claude Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny, France. The home, which served as the painter’s private sanctuary, has been meticulously restored and recreated to resemble its appearance during Monet’s time there. Visitors can explore the colorful rooms, including the blue kitchen with patterned ceramic tiles and copper cookware.
Outside, the water lily pond with a Japanese-inspired bridge and a colorful flower garden offer a glimpse into the inspiration behind Monet’s famous paintings. The Norman garden features fragrant roses, cherry trees, daffodils, tulips, and more, creating a serene and picturesque setting for the characters to explore.
While only the first part of the season is currently available, viewers can look forward to more stunning locations as the second five-episode drop is set to happen on September 12. With each new episode, Emily in Paris continues to raise the bar in terms of breathtaking backdrops and scenic settings, making it a must-watch for travel and design enthusiasts alike.
