The FBI Raid on Doral Body Shop Linked to Attempted Murder of Miami Celebrity Car Designer
MIAMI – The FBI has recently conducted a raid on a Doral body shop in connection to the investigation of the attempted murder of Miami celebrity car designer Alex Vega. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community and shed light on a dark conspiracy involving murder-for-hire.
The raid took place at the Doral Collision Center located at 2101 NW 97th Ave. Federal agents swarmed the body shop, and several Doral Police vehicles were seen outside. The owner of the Doral Collision Center, Rolando „Roly“ Ramirez, along with two other men, have been charged in connection to the murder-for-hire conspiracy.
Ramirez appeared before a Judge in federal court on Friday afternoon to face charges including soliciting to commit a crime of violence, stalking, discharging a firearm, and obstruction of justice. He is currently being held in pre-trial detention pending a hearing next Friday afternoon. Ramirez’s attorney, David Kubiliun, stated that his client has been cooperative and maintains his innocence, vowing to vigorously fight the charges against him.
Family members revealed that Vega and Ramirez had been partners at Exclusive Motoring, which is located next to the Doral Collision Center. Vega eventually left to start his own business, leading to tensions between the two individuals. In a statement on behalf of the Vega family, Hoss Hernandez expressed gratitude to the FBI and the United States Attorney’s office for their dedication in pursuing justice in this case.
Vega, known for his work as a car designer and founder of the vodka brand AVORZA, was the target of a violent attack in August 2019. Security footage captured a masked man shooting Vega multiple times as he parked his Land Rover SUV in his Kendale Lakes home garage. Despite the attempt on his life, Vega survived and later spoke about the incident, expressing shock and disbelief at the violence directed towards him.
Following the attack, two men – the gunman and getaway driver – were convicted for their roles in the plot to kill Vega. However, the mastermind behind the murder-for-hire scheme has yet to be charged. Sources indicate that this individual will appear in Miami federal court to face justice for his involvement in the conspiracy.
The investigation into the attempted murder of Alex Vega has revealed a complex web of deceit and betrayal, highlighting the dangers that lurk beneath the surface of seemingly glamorous industries. As the case unfolds, the community awaits further developments in the pursuit of justice for Vega and accountability for those responsible for the heinous crime.
