FBS, a leading global broker, has taken a significant step towards supporting education in Malaysia by sponsoring the 2024 academic year syllabus for six preschools in Peninsular Malaysia. This initiative is part of the Empowered2Teach program by SUKA Society, aimed at providing educational resources to indigenous children in remote villages to prepare them for formal primary education.
According to a report by the Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli (JAKOA), approximately 7,000 indigenous children in Peninsular Malaysia lack access to school education. To address this issue, FBS has partnered with SUKA Society to purchase teaching resources for schools in Slim River, Gopeng, Tapah, Gua Musang, and Kuala Rompin. These materials are designed to enhance language, numeracy, motor skills, emotional well-being, and social interaction among young learners, ensuring their holistic development.
Aizzat Arfa, FBS Representative in Malaysia, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the company’s commitment to improving access to quality education. He stated, „We at FBS are delighted to continue our collaboration with SUKA Society and contribute to the Empowered2Teach program. By supporting the preschool syllabus, we aim to provide Orang Asli children with a solid foundation for their educational journey and better preparation for Standard One.“
