The iconic brown UPS delivery vehicles in the USA are getting a makeover. This includes personalized name tags honoring drivers who have been with the company for 10 years or more, as well as Honorary Circle emblems celebrating drivers with 25 years or more of safe driving.

When you see a brown UPS delivery vehicle on the road, it is synonymous with excellent service and reliable drivers. The personalization is a way for UPS to show appreciation for the loyalty and dedication of its drivers to excellence, service, and safety. Through this new initiative, nearly 50,000 UPS drivers will be personally recognized this year.

„I was honored and humbled when I was awarded my own name tag on my vehicle. In my 34 years with the company, it was the moment I was most proud,“ said Ray Vincent, a UPS driver in Cranbury, New Jersey. „Everyone on my route cares about me, business owners come out to see me, and even kids ask if they can take a picture with my name.“

Additionally, all newly purchased small package delivery vehicles in the USA will be equipped with air conditioning starting January 1, 2024. Enhancements, including fans and thermal shields, are planned for the current UPS delivery vehicle fleet.

UPS began using delivery vehicles in 1915 – just eight years after its founding – and introduced the iconic brown color in 1919, which has been associated with the company for over a century. The rounded front hood resembling a bubble and roof lines were introduced in 1965 and have become an integral part of the vehicle trusted by millions of customers daily for reliable deliveries.
