The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Lutong, in collaboration with ‚So Extra Market‘, recently organized a series of engaging workshops at the Miri Green Community Hub from 3rd to 5th May. The theme of the program was ‚Natsu Matsuri‘, which aimed to bring together enthusiasts and experts in various cultural fields to share their creativity.
The workshops kicked off with a hair styling workshop conducted by Freddy Yee from Fred Hairdressing. Attendees were introduced to the latest techniques and trends in hair styling, with Yee sharing valuable tips for more innovative styling.
On the second day, a flower arrangement workshop conducted by Wan Soon Florist was a major highlight. Participants learned the art of flower arrangement and were given the opportunity to create their own floral arrangements with a personal touch.
The final day featured a workshop on coloring bottles conducted by Dr. Samantha Ang, who also served as the chairperson for the entire program. With Dr. Ang’s guidance, participants were able to express their ideas and transform ordinary bottles into colorful and beautiful works of art.
The response to all three days of workshops was overwhelmingly positive, and the organizers appreciated the participation of the attendees in providing a platform to build skills and share ideas within the community.
Therefore, JCI Lutong and ‚So Extra Market‘ hope to continue their collaborative efforts in organizing events that inspire, educate, and unite the community.
