On February 22, 2024, J&T REAL ESTATE announced the expansion of its team in connection with upcoming projects on large development sites in Prague and Brno, with construction set to commence this year and next. The total investment costs for these projects amount to 30 billion Czech koruna.
Leading the team as the new Investment Director is Jiří Knob, who also took over the management of the entire team of project managers. Knob has been with the company since 2007 and has previously worked on projects such as Rezidence Kampa and the office complex Rustonka. Recently, he was involved in the preparation of the New Rohan quarter in Prague’s Karlín district, the largest project undertaken by J&T REAL ESTATE with an estimated cost of around 15 billion Czech koruna. Spanning four hectares, the development will consist of a thousand apartments, five multifunctional buildings predominantly for offices, as well as retail, services, and public amenities. Knob is also overseeing projects such as Archa Smíchov and Trio Brno.
Joining the team at the beginning of the year is Pavel Stáhlík, who has taken on the role of project manager for the New Rohan project. Stáhlík brings with him experience in managing large residential projects from his time at Skanska Residential, where he worked from 2013 to 2023. He has also managed residential developments at CERE Invest – GEREO Services. Prior to that, Stáhlík was a project manager at Conti Real from 2005 to 2010.
Handling the marketing of the projects is Libor Pokorný, who also brings a wealth of experience from the real estate market. Previously, he led the marketing of development projects at SATPO and managed the brands SATPO and City Home. Pokorný also managed the marketing of real estate projects and property funds for qualified investors at CB Property Investors. Before that, he held managerial positions at developer and investor Robert Sekera’s companies, including leading the marketing for Sekera’s RS development, later rebranded as RS Group.
„We are building a strong team that will execute the construction of entire urban quarters like New Rohan and Trio Brno, with a focus on work-life balance, allowing people to work, live, and enjoy their free time in these areas,“ stated Jiří Ochetz, a member of the board. J&T REAL ESTATE is now making a significant move into residential development with projects like Archa Smíchov, where they plan to build a total of five hundred apartments in two phases starting this year.
In conclusion, J&T REAL ESTATE is making strategic moves to expand its presence in the real estate market with ambitious projects in Prague and Brno. With a strong team in place and a focus on creating vibrant and balanced urban environments, the company is poised for success in the residential development sector.
