LIVE: Stage 18 of the Tour de France 2024 Online

Today’s hilly stage did not change the overall standings. In the first of the five climbs, a large group of 36 riders formed, which gradually increased their lead and thinned out in the individual climbs until the final one, with only 28 riders left. At the end of the last categorized climb, 40 km before the finish, Michał Kwiatkowski broke away, and that was the decisive moment of the stage. The Pole was joined by local riders Vercher and Campenaerts, and their initially small lead in the gradual climb slightly increased, with the chasing group unable to catch up. In the sprint, Belgian Victor Campenaerts claimed his first stage win at this year’s Tour for Lotto Dstny.
