Luxury car theft rampage in Baltimore culminates in tragedy, perpetrators remain at large

In a recent auto theft incident in Baltimore City, a group of thieves targeted A&B Auto Body and Repair Shop on Dundalk Avenue. The owner, Raj Muzammil, was shocked to receive a call from his employee reporting the break-in at 10 in the morning. The thieves had broken in at around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, as part of a larger auto theft spree that involved at least three incidents within a 24-hour period.

The thieves made off with five high-end vehicles from the shop, including two BMWs and a Jaguar. Some of the cars were at the shop for minor repairs or a paint job, but all were drivable. Muzammil expressed his frustration, stating that the thefts were bad for business as customers who had entrusted their vehicles to the shop were now left without their cars.

Surveillance footage captured the suspects breaking through a bay door at the shop. They managed to slip under the door and raise it just enough to drive the stolen vehicles out of the garage. Among the vehicles stolen was an Infinity QX-60, which belonged to Osama Feroze’s wife, one of the shop’s co-owners.

The situation took a tragic turn when Feroze received a call from a sheriff’s deputy informing him that the stolen Infinity QX-60 was involved in a fatal collision in Carroll County. The collision occurred in Taneytown, where the stolen vehicle collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of the 55-year-old biker, Terry Lee Crowl.

Feroze expressed his devastation at the turn of events, describing it as a „deadly twist of fate.“ He emphasized the challenges of operating a business in Baltimore, noting the city’s reputation for crime and unpredictability. Despite providing the police with surveillance footage of the break-in, no suspect information has been released by the authorities.

The investigation into the auto theft incident and its connection to the fatal crash in Carroll County remains ongoing and active, according to Baltimore Police. The shop owners are left grappling with the aftermath of the thefts and the tragic consequences that followed, highlighting the impact of criminal activities on both businesses and individuals in the community.
