The Baltic Brand Forum (BBF) is set to take place at the Riga Circus on September 20th, making it the most significant marketing and branding event in the Baltics. This year, participants from all over the Baltics and several European countries will come together to share their knowledge and experiences on the role of humor and entertainment in marketing. The event serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and also an opportunity to celebrate the most successful Baltic brands by presenting awards in seven categories.

This year’s event will mark a special occasion – the 20th anniversary of the Brand Capital study and Brand Top. This milestone adds even more significance to the forum’s program, attracting international industry professionals and preparing a festive program with acrobats, comedians, and musical performances.

The event will open its doors to visitors at 11:00 am, with the first part of the forum starting at 12:00 pm. Industry leaders such as Peter Gilmore, CEO and founder of Studio Gilmore, a brand humor consultancy company, and one of Europe’s most influential humor consultants, will take the stage. Also, Magnus Magnusson, one of the creative minds behind iconic Icelandic tourism campaigns, will share valuable insights. Jens Velins from McDonald’s will also share his experience, and the first part of the event will conclude with presentations of the success stories of the four most entertaining brands in the Baltics.

The second part of the forum will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, featuring renowned industry representatives like Chris Stevenson from OMG, who will discuss the changing landscape of the media industry, and Salma Gaja Tophama from OATLY, who will reveal how their brand grew to become one of the most recognizable milk alternatives globally. The second part will also include several discussions on effective ways to reach and engage consumers with brand content, as well as a detailed presentation of the latest Brand Capital study data. The second part will conclude with a performance by Mara Pavula, the director of the Riga Circus, followed by an acrobatic show.

Following the expert presentations, the Baltic Brand Forum will host the award ceremony for the winners of the Baltic Brand Top, presenting awards in seven categories: fastest-growing brands, greenest brands, most humane brands, most loved brands, most loved local producer brands, most loved media brands, and a new category for this year – most entertaining brands. The winners in each category will be determined based on the extensive Brand Capital study data, conducted by the leading research company Norstat, with the participation of over 3000 respondents from the Baltics.

Andris Rubins, one of the founders of the Baltic Brand Forum and the director of the advertising agency Magic, explains: „An event of this caliber is valuable not only for companies competing for the top spot in brand rankings but also for anyone interested in marketing or looking to develop their brand. Bringing together industry experts in one place provides an invaluable contribution to Latvian business and marketing. The event will conclude with a special concert program supported by Balcia Insurance starting at 8:00 pm. One of the most energetic and dynamic bands in the Baltic region will perform, with their name currently kept under wraps. After the concert, the party will continue with a DJ set by Fiņķis, ensuring an unforgettable evening for all attendees.

Brand Capital is currently the most extensive brand and lifestyle study in the Baltics. Its origins can be traced back to the creation of the Latvian Brand Top in 2004, and since 2013, the study has also been conducted in Lithuania and Estonia. Ensuring data representativeness, the study is carried out by Norstat, one of the leading and largest market research data collectors in Europe.

In 2024, the Brand Capital study compiled data on approximately 600 brands, surveying over 3000 residents of the Baltic countries who answered nearly 300 questions about lifestyle and attitudes towards brands.
