The European Union Representation in Ukraine has announced the opening of applications for schoolchildren, students, and postgraduates to participate in the EU Study Days 2024 online school. The program will run from August 5th to October 8th, 2024, with the deadline for applications set for July 20th, 2024, at 23:00.
EU Study Days is a project of the European Union Representation in Ukraine that offers high school students, students, and postgraduates the opportunity to learn more about the European Union and the relations between the EU and Ukraine from key European and Ukrainian experts in the field. Additionally, the project aims to develop a network of Ukrainian youth for communication, exchange of experiences, cooperation, and implementation of joint initiatives.
Who can participate in the online school?
Schoolchildren, students, and postgraduates are invited to participate in the program.
Requirements for schoolchildren participants:
Participants must be students in grades 9-11 who are interested in European integration and wish to broaden their horizons. Preference in the selection process will be given to those who have achieved prizes in academic competitions, participated in European clubs at school or libraries, or engaged in extracurricular activities related to European history, culture, values, etc.
Participants from the schoolchildren group will receive certificates upon completion of the program. To obtain a certificate, schoolchildren must complete a minimum of 8 out of 10 online modules.
Requirements for student and postgraduate participants:
Applications are accepted from individuals aged 18 to 25 who are enrolled in a master’s program or in the final year of a bachelor’s program in Ukrainian higher education institutions. Proficiency in English at the B2/C1 level is required, and applicants may undergo an interview to assess their language skills.
Participants from the student and postgraduate group will also receive certificates upon completion of the program. They must complete all 10 online modules to receive a certificate containing ECTS credits and information about the program’s duration and content.
Only individuals who have not participated in previous EU Study Days programs are eligible to apply.
The program will consist of 10 online modules, each including lectures from diplomats or experts from the EU Representation in Ukraine, leading European or Ukrainian experts, and teachers, as well as webinars, open discussions, creative workshops, and online tests.
Participants who successfully complete the online modules will be invited to participate in the EU Study Days Offline School, where they will engage in further activities and discussions.
The selection process for the Offline School includes two stages: application review and online testing. Selected participants will be notified by email no later than August 2nd, 2024.
Participation in the program is free for selected participants.
