The passing of Allen J. Orgeron Sr., affectionately known as „JJ“, has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends. Born on March 25, 1959, Allen lived a life filled with dedication to his work and unwavering love for those around him. His legacy of kindness and generosity will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Allen spent years of his life working at Tenaris/Hydril, where he eventually retired. However, his true passion lay in helping others. Described as the go-to person for assistance with any project, Allen’s willingness to lend a hand knew no bounds. His selflessness and skill were admired by many, making him a beloved figure in both his professional and personal life.
Family was at the center of Allen’s world. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Hill Orgeron, and their children: Allen Orgeron Jr. (Macey), Travis Coon (Jamie), and Christi Orgeron (Nicole Dickson). Allen was also a cherished grandfather to Lily Orgeron and Aubrie, Alba, Tobias, and Amelia Coon. His siblings, Pamela Robertson (James), Danny Orgeron (Andrea), and David Orgeron (Linda), as well as his nieces and nephew, Corey Orgeron, Billy, Samantha, and Michelle Orgeron, will forever hold him close in their hearts.
In his leisure time, Allen found joy in various hobbies, such as golf, darts, beach volleyball, and cruising. His vibrant personality shone through in everything he did, always ready with a witty remark or expression to brighten the day of those around him. Allen’s zest for life was contagious, and he lived each day to the fullest, cherishing the moments spent with his loved ones.
A man of immense creativity, Allen had a talent for turning dreams into reality, especially those envisioned by his wife, Donna. Together, they brought many ideas to life, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come. Allen’s legacy of love, laughter, and creativity will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the funeral service, which will be held at Harvey – Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC in Harvey, LA, on August 14, 2024, at 11AM. Visitation will begin at 9AM, with the burial service following at Westlawn Memorial Park in Terrytown, LA. While Allen may have left this world, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his presence.
In memoriam, Allen is reunited with his parents, Eugene Orgeron and Betty Orgeron, and his nephew Torey Orgeron. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Allen J.
