Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia, is undergoing a period of significant changes in its public transportation system. From April 2nd to May 26th, the tram service on Vajnorska Street in the section between Jurajov dvor and Zlaté Piesky will be temporarily suspended in both directions. This suspension is necessary to complete the final phase of the reconstruction of the Vajnorska radial road.
According to information provided by the imhd.sk portal, tram line number 4, which operates to Zlaté Piesky, will only run between Dúbravka and Depo Jurajov dvor during this period. Passengers can transfer to a replacement bus service at the Depo Jurajov dvor stop, located in front of the depot gate.
The replacement bus service, designated as line X4, will operate between Depo Jurajov dvor, Vajnorská, Cesta na Senec, and Zlaté Piesky. Buses will serve stops in both directions, including Depo Jurajov dvor, Jurajov dvor, Vajnorská, Shopping Palace (temporary stop on Cesta na Senec), and Zlaté Piesky.
Additionally, the original route of bus line 57 is being restored with slight modifications in the Zlaté Piesky area due to the temporary one-way traffic on Stará Vajnorská Street (until June 30th). The route of bus line 65 will also be adjusted in this section.
Bus line 57 will operate between Depo Jurajov dvor, Žabí majer, Staviteľská, Zlaté Piesky, Cesta na Senec, Stará Vajnorská, and back to Depo Jurajov dvor. The Zlaté Piesky stop will be served on Cesta na Senec (platform C), while the Shopping Palace stop will be temporarily relocated to Cesta na Senec (platform I). The stops at Stará Vajnorská and OC Stará Vajnorská will also be reinstated. Some selected services on weekdays will run directly from Žabí majer to Depo Jurajov dvor without stopping at Staviteľská Street and Zlaté Piesky.
For bus line 65, the service towards Čiližská will have altered stop arrangements. The Zlaté Piesky stop will be served on Cesta na Senec (platform C), and the Shopping Palace stop will be relocated to Cesta na Senec (platform I).
These changes in the public transportation routes in Bratislava are essential for the ongoing infrastructure improvements and will ensure the smooth flow of traffic during the reconstruction of Vajnorska radial road.
