PS Plus Extra to Include One of the Greatest Games Ever on August 20

The Extra tier of the PlayStation Plus subscription service is set to receive a major update on August 20, with the addition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and nine other games. This monthly refresh of the PS Plus Extra library gives subscribers access to new games while rotating out older titles. Unfortunately, this means that 10 games will be leaving the service on August 20, including popular titles like Lost Judgment and Need for Speed Unbound.

However, the lineup of new games joining PS Plus Extra on August 20 is certainly impressive. Cult of the Lamb, a highly-rated game from 2022, is one of the standout additions. This game recently received a co-op update, adding even more value for players. In addition to Cult of the Lamb, subscribers can look forward to titles like Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, Ride 5, and several Sword Art Online games.

Of course, the biggest highlight of the August 20 update is the inclusion of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This critically acclaimed game is considered one of the best of all time, with its vast open world, engaging story, and memorable characters. Players can easily sink hundreds of hours into exploring the world of The Witcher 3, making it a fantastic addition to the PS Plus Extra lineup.

It’s worth noting that most of the new games added to PS Plus Extra in August 2024 will be playable on both PS4 and PS5. However, titles like Ride 5 and Wild Hearts will only be available to PS Plus Extra subscribers on PS5. This ensures that players on both generations of PlayStation consoles have access to a diverse range of games to enjoy.

For fans of The Witcher series, the addition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to PS Plus Extra is a major win. With its rich storytelling, immersive world, and engaging gameplay, this title is sure to keep players entertained for hours on end. And with other exciting titles like Cult of the Lamb and Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker joining the lineup, there’s plenty of variety for subscribers to enjoy.

Overall, the August 20 update to PS Plus Extra is shaping up to be a great one for subscribers. With a mix of critically acclaimed games, popular franchises, and new updates, there’s something for every type of gamer to enjoy. Whether you’re a fan of action RPGs, co-op adventures, or competitive multiplayer, the new additions to PS Plus Extra have you covered.
