PTTI, also known as Pusat Tuisyen Teras Ilmu, has been recognized for its outstanding contribution to online education in Malaysia. After more than five years of operation, the academic improvement center has been awarded the prestigious BrandLaureate Bestbrands in Online Education Platform award for the first time. This accolade is a testament to PTTI’s commitment to helping Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students achieve excellent results.
Led by Siti Farhana Abu Osman, affectionately known as Cikgu Fana, the team at PTTI sees this award as a blessing, especially in light of the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The recognition serves as a validation of their mission to educate and empower the nation’s youth to excel in their SPM examinations.
Receiving the award at The Brand Laureate HQ in Damansara Utama, Cikgu Fana expressed her pride in being recognized alongside other esteemed figures in various fields. The BrandLaureate award celebrates the excellence of iconic brands that contribute to the country’s development through innovative ideas and thinking.
For Cikgu Fana, this award is a dream come true, as she and her husband had envisioned PTTI being recognized with the BrandLaureate logo. The journey to this achievement has not been easy, but it has been a rewarding one. The dedication of the entire PTTI team, including hardworking teachers, has been instrumental in their success.
PTTI’s journey began unofficially around 2014, but it was not until 2016 that the center became more proactive in providing benefits to students. The spirit of the teachers at PTTI remains unwavering, driven by a passion to educate and guide students towards achieving top grades in SPM.
The center’s approach to teaching focuses on ensuring students truly understand the subject matter, rather than just memorizing facts. By imparting the right techniques and strategies, PTTI aims to equip students with the skills needed to excel in any type of examination.
PTTI gained popularity among students through its presence on social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, where they offered free educational videos. Since its inception, PTTI has helped over 100,000 SPM students achieve their best scores. In addition to online interactions, the center’s seminars have also garnered attention from students.
In a significant collaboration this year, PTTI partnered with Mira Filzah, a former top SPM student from 2010, who now serves as the center’s official ambassador. Together, they aim to reach more SPM students and provide them with the necessary support and guidance.
In light of receiving the BrandLaureate award, PTTI has opened early registration for SPM candidates for the 2021 session, allowing students to start preparing well in advance for the upcoming examinations. This recognition is a testament to PTTI’s dedication to excellence in education and its commitment to helping students succeed.
