The Roma Eco Race is set to take place on October 12th and 13th, an automotive sporting event focused on regularity reserved for vehicles powered by alternative fuels and propulsion systems. Organized by the Automobile Club Roma, which oversees the automotive sports aspects, and Punto Gas, an operator in the automotive and sustainable mobility sector, the event allows participants to earn points valid for two motor racing competitions: the Green Challenge Cup Trophy and the Italian Alternative Energy Championship by Aci Sport, in accordance with the International Sporting Code of the FIA, the International Automobile Federation.
The event kicks off in Rome on Friday, October 11th, with participants gathering for technical checks. It runs concurrently with the 2nd Roma Eco Race Press – Memorial Fiammetta La Guidara, a similar event reserved for journalists and media professionals in the automotive sector. The eco-friendly vehicles in the race will compete along a route of approximately 200 kilometers, showcasing the city of Rome, the Castelli Romani area, and the province of Frosinone, with the finish line in Fiuggi, one of Europe’s most important and ancient thermal towns.
The Roma Eco Race falls under the category of ecorallies, a discipline established in 2006 in Italy, San Marino, and the Vatican City.
