National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that aims to promote strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer. This year, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is hosting National Night Out events across the county on Tuesday. More than 38 million people across 17,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases will come together for similar events as part of National Night Out.
