San Diego County Authorities to Commemorate National Night Out 2024

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that aims to promote strong police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer. This year, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is hosting National Night Out events across the county on Tuesday. These events provide an opportunity for community members to meet deputies and other law enforcement personnel, hear safety tips, and receive public safety resources. Some events will also feature giveaways and other activities to engage attendees.

More than 38 million people across 17,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases will come together for similar events as part of National Night Out. Communities celebrate by hosting block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts, and other activities to foster a sense of unity and safety within their neighborhoods.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has organized various National Night Out events at different locations across the county. Here is a list of some of the department’s National Night Out events:

– Alpine Station: The event will take place at the Alpine Woman’s Club on 2156 Alpine Blvd. from 5-7 p.m. For more information, you can contact 619-659-2608.
– Fallbrook Substation: This event will be held at Fallbrook Summer Nights and Vintage Car Show on Main Avenue and Alvarado Street from 4-8 p.m. For more information, call 760-451-3100.
– Imperial Beach Substation: Join the event at Veterans Park on 1075 8th St. from 4:30-6:30 p.m. For more information, contact 619-498-2435.
– South Bay Recreation Center: The event will be held at 1885 Coronado Ave. from 5-7:30 p.m. For more information, call 619-498-2435.
– Lemon Grove Substation: Join the event at Treganza Park on 3200 Main St. from 5-8 p.m. For more information, contact 619-573-7250.

These are just a few of the National Night Out events organized by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. Each event aims to bring together community members and law enforcement personnel to strengthen relationships and promote safety within neighborhoods.
