St. C. Harvest Festival to feature Annual Car Show | News, Sports, Jobs

The annual car show in St. Clairsville is set to take place on September 15 this year, but this time it will feature an exciting addition – a Harvest Festival. The idea for the Harvest Festival came from Lisa Amos, the owner of the MeltingPot Marketplace, who wanted to bring in the fall season by combining it with the traditional car show organized by the Main Street Business Association.

The St. Clairsville City Council recently approved the blocking of Main Street to accommodate the event, which will take place from 1-6 p.m. The street will be closed from Huntington Bank to the courthouse, creating a festive atmosphere for attendees to enjoy.

The Main Street Business Association aims to showcase the community spirit of St. Clairsville through this event, encouraging people to come out and experience the charm of a small town. With new restaurants, diners, and local businesses, the Harvest Festival and car show provide an opportunity for residents to support their community.

Local vendors will be a key feature of the event, offering a variety of products such as pumpkin rolls, baked goods, crochet and knitting items, woodcrafts, and fall decorations like corn stalks and pumpkins. Additionally, a small farmers market display will be set up, showcasing fresh vegetables from local growers.

In a unique twist, this year’s car show will also include a display of tractors. Amos wanted to introduce something different to the event, and the inclusion of tractors adds a nostalgic touch to the fall-themed festival. Children, in particular, are sure to enjoy seeing the antique cars and tractors on display.

For families looking to capture memories from the event, there will be an option to have photos taken by two photographers on site. Families can purchase the photos if they wish, with C&J Photography and Nature’s Gift Photography offering their services during the festival.

Businesses along Main Street will also be participating in the Harvest Festival, with the Belmont County Heritage Museum opening its doors to visitors. The event is free to attend, offering a range of activities and attractions for families to enjoy. It’s a great opportunity to spend a day downtown, support local businesses, and come together as a community.

Overall, the St. Clairsville Harvest Festival promises to be a fun-filled day for all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy. From classic cars and tractors to local vendors and photographers, this event celebrates the spirit of fall and the vibrant community of St. Clairsville. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to experience a taste of small-town charm and support the local businesses that make this community thrive.
