The community in Bintangor is set to witness the launch of an e-learning kindergarten for the benefit of the young community members. This kindergarten is part of the new initiative by Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Melayu Bintangor and will be located in the Bintangor Community Complex. Known as ‚Kinder Doc‘, this online education platform is a collaboration with Danawa Education Sdn. Bhd, a part of the Danawa Group, a key player in the ICT infrastructure development in Malaysia.
The Sarawak Rural Broadband Initiative (SRBI) consultant, in collaboration with the Sarawak state government and a charity organization, Kebajikan Dayang Fatimah Berhad, has contributed a total of RM2.1 million for the construction of the Community Complex. The complex was recently inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Tan Yii Ying, the CEO of Danawa Education, explained that ‚Kinder Doc‘ is a platform specially developed to facilitate teaching and learning in early childhood education. At Danawa Education, they believe that every child deserves the best education, hence they leverage digital technology to aid in the teaching and learning process, targeting quality education programs accessible to both urban and rural populations.
‚Kinder Doc‘ aims to achieve three objectives: promoting IT literacy among the youth, assisting learning in the digital era through various digital devices for educators to track their students‘ performance. The program is set to commence within six months from now. Tan expressed gratitude to Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Melayu Bintangor for the opportunity to implement this initiative, recognizing it as the first of its kind in Bintangor.
Danawa Education has been actively involved in the education sector since 2001, expanding its network to over 400 branches across Malaysia, including private and government schools, kindergartens, and more. They initiated a pioneering program with the Cambridge Starters Award accreditation from the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), United Kingdom in Mukah, Sarawak.
In addition to Cambridge, Danawa Education has collaborated with several international bodies and offers programs in early childhood education, primary and secondary schools, higher education, and diploma levels for vocational institutions. The implementation of this kindergarten e-learning platform marks a significant step towards enhancing education accessibility and quality in Bintangor and beyond.
