TCU Marketing & Communication and TCU Admission have recently been recognized for their outstanding work by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), a prestigious industry leader. The efforts of these teams have not gone unnoticed, as they were awarded a grand gold and three silver awards for their exceptional creativity and dedication to promoting TCU’s bright future with personality and flair.
Merianne Roth, vice chancellor of marketing and communication, expressed her pride in the team’s accomplishments, stating, „These awards are a testament to the hard work, creativity, and dedication of our team. Out of thousands of entries, only a fraction were recognized for being truly stellar. This speaks volumes about the quality of our work, and it’s only the beginning.“
The competition was fierce, with teams from 600 institutions in 28 countries submitting a total of 4,223 entries. CASE recognizes the work of universities worldwide in advancement services, alumni relations, communications, and marketing, making these awards even more prestigious.
One of the standout projects that earned a grand gold award was the Five Secrets Search Campaign, which was recognized in the online advertising category. This campaign encouraged prospective students to confirm their information to receive their „five secrets“ admission guide in the mail, creating a pivotal engagement point to initiate meaningful dialogue. The collaboration between TCU Admission and TCU Marketing & Communication impressed the judges, who praised the campaign for its personalized, cost-effective approach and effective engagement strategies.
In addition to the grand gold award, three other projects received silver awards from CASE. The Lead On, Courageously: Katherine Beattie video told the inspiring story of a TCU alumna who is a wheelchair motocross participant, TV writer/producer, and advocate for disability representation in media. The judges commended the video for its unique and modern feel, making it stand out among the competition.
As part of TCU’s Sesquicentennial celebration, the university was awarded for the Bright Future installation in the environmental graphics category. This light exhibit closed out the 150th festivities with uplighting and other light installations around campus, effectively celebrating the concept of a „Bright Future“ with a fun and engaging showcase that drew people to campus.
The sponsored campaign First Impressions Matter was also recognized in the online advertising category for its long-form multimedia piece in the Chronicle of Higher Education, showcasing how TCU’s intentional first-year experience bolsters student retention. The judges noted the campaign’s effectiveness in reaching and engaging the target audience, setting a standard for elevating reputation through strategic marketing.
Lastly, TCU’s University Advancement earned a silver award for alumni relations with its Horned Frog Fair, an event that connects alumni and supports scholarship and alumni-owned businesses. The judges praised the initiative for its significant turnout and engagement with a variety of businesses, highlighting its success in fostering connections within the TCU community.
