Tekashi 6ix9ine and NLE Choppa to Headline First Menace To Society Festival in Sofia

Tekashi 6ix9ine and NLE Choppa are set to headline the first edition of the Menace To Society Festival in Sofia, as announced by Sofia Music Enterprises (SME). The trap genre has become one of the most popular and listened to styles worldwide, so it was only a matter of time before such an event would be organized in Bulgaria, according to SME. The event is scheduled to take place on October 16th at the Arena Sofia. In addition to the two headliners, over 10 local trap artists, groups, and DJs will also take the stage.

The festival is a result of the collaboration between two European companies – J-Noah and Whoop Events, who have been dominating the European music scene with events featuring artists like Tyga, Gucci Mane, Offset, Quavo, DaBaby, and Sean Paul, as shared by SME.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, also known as Daniel Hernandez, is an American rapper and singer known for his aggressive and provocative style, not only because of his colorful hair but also due to public feuds with fellow artists and legal issues. He rose to fame in late 2018 with the release of his debut single „Gummo.“ He followed this up with the mixtape „Day69,“ featuring tracks like „Kooda,“ „Keke,“ and „Gotti,“ all of which charted on the Billboard Hot 100. His collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Murda Beatz on „FEFE“ from his debut album „Dummy Boy“ reached number three on the Hot 100 and was certified platinum by the RIAA. His single „Gooba“ and its music video broke records for the most-watched online hip-hop video in the first 24 hours.

NLE Choppa is returning to Bulgaria for the second time after his sold-out concert in 2020. Bryson LaShun Potts, professionally known as NLE Choppa, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He gained recognition with his single „Shotta Flow“ in 2019, which went platinum and reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following the success of the song, he collaborated with some of the biggest trap artists in the States on remixes that also achieved success. NLE later signed with Warner Records and released his hit album „Top Shotta,“ which reached the Top 10 on the US Billboard 200. Currently, NLE has projects in the works with Lil‘ Baby, Takeoff, Lil‘ Uzi Vert, Fivio Foreign, Rick Ross, Central Cee, and Sexyy Red.

In conclusion, the Menace To Society Festival in Sofia promises to be a thrilling event for trap music fans, with Tekashi 6ix9ine and NLE Choppa headlining a lineup of talented artists. The collaboration between J-Noah and Whoop Events ensures a high-quality production that has been successful in bringing top-tier artists to Europe. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to experience the energy and excitement of trap music live in Sofia on October 16th.
