Tesla chooses Aldaia to install a new station of vehicle superchargers

Tesla, the American electric vehicle manufacturer, has chosen the Bonaire shopping center in Aldaia (Horta Sud) to install one of the five new supercharger stations it has opened this summer in high-traffic summer areas. The goal is to „meet the growing local demand from both cities, as well as summer traffic.“ According to the brand, after these new openings, the network now reaches a total of 76 stations and 721 charging points in the country.

In addition, Tesla has opened new stations in Vitoria, Estepona (Malaga), Torre del Mar (Malaga), and La Roca Village (Barcelona). The company led by Elon Musk has announced that in 2024, Tesla has launched twelve new stations with 112 250 kW charging points and has expanded seven existing ones, adding 40 new 250 kW points.

In this way, the month of August has already surpassed the number of openings from previous years. Additionally, they have started modernization work at some stations: they have replaced the old V2 chargers with the latest generation V4 chargers.

The network in Spain has an average of ten points per station, with a minimum power of 150 kW. Nearly 70% of all Tesla charging points have a power of 250 kW, which translates to up to 275 additional kilometers in just fifteen minutes of charging.

The company also provides recommended charging times at each station and an approximate calculation of the available energy based on driving style, altitude, or temperature. With the mobile app, Tesla users can check the availability of spots, monitor the charging status, or receive a notification when the vehicle is ready to resume driving.

Tesla’s commitment to expanding its charging network in Spain demonstrates its dedication to providing convenient and efficient charging solutions for electric vehicle owners. With the increasing demand for electric vehicles, having a reliable and widespread charging infrastructure is crucial for promoting the adoption of sustainable transportation. Tesla’s investment in expanding its supercharger network not only benefits current Tesla owners but also contributes to the overall growth of the electric vehicle market in Spain.
