The backyard ultra race held in Nummela on the 12th and 13th of October received a warm reception from participants, spectators, and locals alike. The event, now in its third year, took place on the scenic trails of Nummelanharju, providing a unique and picturesque setting for the runners. A total of 62 runners took part in the race, with some hailing from Vihdintä and others traveling from different parts of Finland. Notably, there were three competitors from the UK and one from Spain, showcasing the international appeal of the event. The age range of the participants varied from 10 to 63 years old, with the majority achieving personal bests in this challenging race format. The ultimate victor was Janne Männikkö, who completed an impressive 33 laps covering a total distance of 222 kilometers before the race concluded as darkness fell on Sunday evening.
