Varun Dhawan Expresses His Joy at Watching the Re-Release of ‘Raja Babu’; Shares Clips with Govinda and Shakti Kapoor

As Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer Raja Babu re-released in theatres, fans and celebrities alike have been enjoying the nostalgic experience of watching this classic comedy on the big screen. Actor Varun Dhawan, known for his love for Bollywood films, recently shared his excitement about the film’s re-release on his social media handle.

Varun Dhawan took to his Instagram stories to share his enthusiasm while watching Raja Babu in a cinema hall. He posted a scene from the film featuring Govinda in a stylish navy look, along with a video of Govinda and Shakti Kapoor dancing to the iconic song „Pak Chik Pak Raja Babu“. Varun captioned the post with „Govinda back in cinemas #RAJABABU“, showcasing his admiration for the legendary actor.

Not only did Varun Dhawan highlight Govinda’s performance, but he also shared a glimpse of Karisma Kapoor’s iconic song „Mera Dil Na Todo“ from the film. Karisma Kapoor, in turn, re-shared Varun’s post on her Instagram story, expressing her fond memories of working on Raja Babu with a hug emoji.

Directed by David Dhawan, Raja Babu is a 1994 comedy film that also stars late actor Kader Khan, Aruna Irani, and Shakti Kapoor in pivotal roles. The story revolves around a rich village couple who adopt an orphan boy, Raja Singh, played by Govinda, and his journey of love and laughter with Karisma Kapoor’s character, Madhubala.

The film’s dialogues and characters, such as Govinda and Shakti Kapoor’s bond, have left a lasting impact on the audience. Phrases like „Samajhta nahin yaar“ and „nandu sabka bandhu“ from the movie have become iconic and are still fondly remembered by fans.

Raja Babu is currently being screened in theaters as part of the Comedy Film Festival, which started on August 2 and will run until August 14. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan has a busy schedule ahead with multiple projects in the pipeline.

He is set to star in Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan, alongside Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and others. Additionally, Varun has completed the first schedule of an upcoming comedy film with Mrunal Thakur, marking their first collaboration on screen.

This project also marks Varun’s fourth collaboration with his father, director David Dhawan, following the success of their previous films like Main Tera Hero, Judwaa 2, and Coolie No 1. The actor is also gearing up for the release of the action thriller film Baby John and the Indian adaptation of the Hollywood series Citadel, opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

With a packed schedule and exciting projects on the horizon, Varun Dhawan continues to entertain audiences with his versatile performances and dedication to the craft of acting. As fans eagerly await his upcoming releases, the re-release of Raja Babu serves as a delightful reminder of the timeless charm of classic Bollywood comedies.
