Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) has once again demonstrated its commitment to nation building and promoting a sustainable future for Brunei through its BIBD Sustainability Youth Leadership Awards. The BIBD Sustainability Youth Leadership Awards, launched last year, celebrate the contributions of Brunei’s youth towards creating a sustainable future. By empowering youth and addressing environmental challenges, the awards support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and contribute to Brunei Vision 2035 by cultivating a skilled and entrepreneurial youth population.
BIBD’s Chief Marketing Officer, Hajah Nurul Akmar Haji Md Jaafar, highlighted the significance of the awards in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam National Council on Climate Change, fostering innovative solutions for a sustainable future. The initiative, a joint effort involving various government agencies and stakeholders, underscores BIBD’s commitment as a Partner in Progress towards youth development and sustainability.
Through initiatives like the Sustainability Youth Leadership Awards, BIBD plays a crucial role in inspiring and empowering Brunei’s youth to drive positive change and contribute to a greener, more sustainable nation. The bank’s dedication to promoting sustainability and supporting young talents reflects its commitment to building a better future for Brunei.
