YYY: Agency must constantly strive to grow, otherwise it will burn out

Over the past 10 years, YYY has experienced some challenging times, such as a significant drop in income during the pandemic, leading to a 80% decrease and the need to lay off half of its employees. This difficult period forced the company to reevaluate its principles and operations. Martin Zdražil, reflecting on this period, emphasized the importance of leadership, management, financial stability, and strategic planning to navigate through tough times and ensure the company’s sustainability.

As YYY celebrates its 10th anniversary, the company looks back on its journey with a mix of optimism and humility. The first decade has been filled with exciting projects, collaborations, and iconic campaigns for various clients, including CZC, Direct, Becherovka, Astrid, Vivantis, and KetoDiet. With a turnover of 120 employees over the years, YYY has managed to create a strong corporate culture that fosters a sense of belonging and loyalty among its staff. Additionally, the company has expanded its reach by establishing partnerships, selling shares in YYY family agencies, launching successful ventures like Hedepy, and introducing initiatives like Brand Academy in collaboration with Digisemester.

Despite the successes, YYY faced its fair share of challenges along the way. The most difficult periods were marked by a loss of trust from clients, brands, and investors, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic when revenues plummeted, leading to layoffs and financial strain. The company also felt the impact of the war in Ukraine, further complicating its operations. Another tough phase was when YYY shifted its focus to Hedepy, diverting attention from the core agency business. However, these setbacks served as learning opportunities, prompting YYY to refocus on growth, innovation, and energizing its team to tackle complex challenges and pursue new experiences.

Looking ahead, YYY remains committed to continuous improvement and bold decision-making. The company’s journey over the past decade has been a mix of highs and lows, but each experience has contributed to its growth and resilience.
